speedometer, oil, and temp guage not working properly
Hey guys I need some help. While driving down the road this afternoon all of a sudden the guages mentioned are erracticly jumping around.
Speedo drops to zero when the brake pedal is tapped! also moves when signal is on!
Oil guage is pegged to high oil pressure.
Temp guage also moves when signal is on, and jumps to hot. The temp is like it is working off the opposite side of the guage from right to left instead of left to right.
Once I got home I restarted the engine and it worked fine for a while then after a few minutes it is back to the above. Got any Ideas. Thanks, Tony

Just a plain ole guy
Try this:

Well, it worked the other day. Leave your odomoter showing as you shut the truck off. Then hold the trip reset button in while turning the key to the start position. Thgis will put the instrument panel in test mode. If you have isues with it, it will give you a code in the odometer that pertains to the panel. When the link worked, it showed how to do this and what the codes, if you get any, mean.
My guess up front is a bad connection somewhere. Grounding is of the utmost importance in any 12 volt system. Well, any electrical system. it's always the root of most evils, so it's always a good place to start. Make sure battery terminals are clean and tight, and the battery is healthy also.
