I pulled it out and took it in for repair........ small hole.
How much coolant does the WHOLE system hold and can I use the Prestone 50/50?

Also on a side note...... how much motor oil does my 98 24 valve hold?

I think its around 4 gallons for the coolant
and the oil its 10 liters + filter(I think a liter is close to a quart)If your mixing the antifreeze make sure you use distilled water.

Not to confuse you any but I just replaced my hoses and coolant over the weekend. I have an 01 so it may be different but service manual says 24qts which is 6 gallons. I did not get 6 out or back in but very close to 5gals.

It holds i think 12 or 13 qts

 

Complet system 6 gal.. but if you dont drain block and heater bout 5 will be most you can put back in. oil with filter 11 qt..

 

I used one of the new antifreezes built for the aluminum radiators. Zerex g-05.
Supposed to last 100,000 miles? Or something like that. I figured I could run it for a couple years or 50 thousand and then check it.
I backflushed the radiator then rinsed with distilled water then filled again with distilled water. Just to be safe.
