pulling to the left

i just purchased a set of tires a couple days ago, went to have my truck alligned and they said my balljoints were bad and they showed me and all that so i had them put new ones in. well when i got my truck back today i pulled out and when i get on the throttle my truck wants to pull to the left somthing terrible but when i let off it seems to correct itself. i took it back to the shop and they swear that its somthing in the rearend, but they dont know what. all help is greatly appreciated. thanks -Matt

Did they align your truck after replacing the ball joints and getting new tires? I have seen ball joint replacement result in a badly out of alignment truck. Not always, but it happens. Also, did you check your tire pressure. Last time I got tires, they didn't fill them to the pressure I asked them to. I remember the drive home that day...it felt like the truck was all over the place. I checked the pressure when I got home to find they had filled two tires to 35 psi, one to 45 psi, and the last to 52 psi. The front had one 35 and one 52 psi...it pulled btw.

Try switching front tires. Front left to front right and front right to front left. After you do that if it pulls to the right then you have a bad tire. Sounds like radial pull to me, meaning the steel belts are separating.

Fill of the hubs, If ones hot than the other you could have a brake draging.

I would take it back right away, if you wait the sugested four hundred miles they will tell you that the warranty on there work is not good any more then you'll have to pay to have it fixed properly. As far as ball joints not being "seatted in", thats one of the lamest exuses I've ever heard, I hate dishonest shops ( who doesnt). If it didnt pull when you brought the truck to them it shouldnt pull now, THEY did something wrong, its not the truck. Good luck with your truck

A print out of alignment would help on figuring the pull. A problem with many shops is they set it to the green on their machine. Wide tires, different rims, lift kits require more tweaking to eliminate wear and pull. Toe should be set less than 1/32 inch or .01 total toe in.

thanks guys, i took it to another shop today who told me that he would not charge to check it, and he was looked at it as possibly the rearend not tracking with the front, but both pins that hold the leafsprings in place were not broke, and the measurements he took were to spec. he then looked at the front, and said that he couldnt figure it out either. and the ball joints not seating properly, yea that was a lame excuse, thats why i took it elsewhere. but thanks for the help guys, when i get it figured out ill let yall know, and another thing, when you put the truck into 4 wheel high and take it out on the highway it drives straight as an arrow, but as soon as you stop and go back to 2wd it starts pulling again
