producing white smoke at slow acceleration
My truck is producing alot of white smoke during slow acceleration. i can accelerate fast and white smoke clears up. my truck is a 12v 1998 5sp
Or your turbo intercooler boot could be loose. Normally when this happens you loose power though. Welcome to the site, hope can help. Nice truck, if you get a chance fill out your sig, so we know exactly what you have. I see you said 98, 12v 5 speed, thats a great rare truck, best of luck with the problem.
need more info...does this happen when cold only? or clears up after the truck is warmed up?...when was the last time you changed your fuel filter? and check you fuel lines around the fuel filter for air/fuel leaks?

No not only when its cold but it is worse when the motor is cold it will smoke and sputter for about a block. but when its warm it usually only does it in first gear when you first start to accelerate.

The overflow valve is the single part that wears out most on a 12 valve and is always a good place to start. 5 minute, one wrench job to replace it.
