Predator wiped out truck computer
You cannot stop the tuner from completing what it was doing or you will have serious ECM problems. It says so right in the directions. Also in the directions it tells you what to do if something disrupts the install but unfortunately you need to call them while you have the Predator in hand and on the truck....
i had same kind of problem with a bullydog downloader. it was properly installed on my truck. did not properly uninstall it (unknown at the time). put on friends truck, worked fine. then went to reinstall on my truck and truck would not even start. ended up with friends vin number on downloader and somehow got it programed on my computer. had to call bullydog to get some code/ pattern on downloader to find my vin number.
maby you got same kind of problem. can you check downloader to see if vin matches your truck?

This is in regards to the predator messing up my computer. The guy who sold or attemped to installl the program was regretfull this alll happened . Now he won't answer my phone calls or e-mails and I can't get any info from him. I don't really know what went wrong that day.Like I said I'd take responsibilty for my actions, but I think I'm on the short end of this mess.
Comment or suggestion?? Tell the tech what happened! What he's going to have to try and do is a full recovery and attempt to flash update the ECM. Sometimes due to the VIN transfer of the security system you'll have to use a "donor truck" to swap the ECM to and update the ECM via the donor truck (security module gets unhooked before any swap takes place or you end up with two messes in case you're curious). Having the original part number via a scan tool is really handy to have when people start playing with downloaders. I've had a couple trucks with this self inflicted issue and luckily the people were straight forward with what happened. I was also fortunate enough to get them to re program again. FYI ECM's come blank and you have to load the vehicle info for them to work.
This is to clarify what happened on the Predator installation. Throught the classifieds of the Diesel Truck Resouce I attempted to purchase a used Predator/Puck tuner. Met up with the person selling the tuner and he attemped to install the tow tune. The tow tune could not be completed with some kind of code. At that very moment I got a calll from my dispatch for a load and instructed the guy to put everthing back to stock because I had to go. He couldn't get it to do so. I know its my responsibility and should be responsible for your actions, under the cercumstances what would you do
