Great. Just what we need.

I think hackers should be the subject of public beatings. Remember the guy who vandalized the cars that time; was it Michael Fay or something?

Couple of lashes with the cane and I bet he never picks up a can of spray paint again in his LIFE.
What's in it for a hacker? Is there money in disrupting people’s lives and businesses, or is it just for status in the Geek world?

Actually, they should be jailed for life or shot....or both!

This is a serious threat to our national security also. Many soldiers are at risk becuase of viruses and computers being knocked out of service.

A few of the write ups I've seen seemed to suggust the XPsp2 and 2003 server are the ones at risk but others say any windows machine is at risk. I guess Bill must be busy he says he'll have a fix for it next week , others (read not microsoft) built a fix for it over the weekend I am wondering if using a non MS browser will offer some protection?

This is the same as the Windows Meta File Flaw.

Which up to date antivirus software prevents any exploiting, as said by microsoft and mcafee.

The media always overhypes everything.

So yes, your microsoft machine is unprotected without a good up to date antivirus software. What a concept.

Ummmm, . . . .. . back to the topic of the thread . . . .

MS has issued a patch for this vulnerability, go to MS Windows Update and install the patch ASAP.

Happy motoring.

Well I had it for about 2 weeks before it finally killed my computer. It took us 2 days to fix it. Not only that we messed up a portable hard drive too. We are not sure what happened to it but it locked up too.

If you get and icon that looks like a flying saucer , you got it. Can't get rid of it except by reloading everthing.

I would like to get a hold of some of these geeks who think it is humorous to mess up other peoples stuff. Like keying a car. just for the fun of it.

Maybe putting a couple fingers under the dualls and doing a burnout over them would get their attention.

I'd like to imprint a P4 chip right in their forehead along with a fist in the mouth.

Back half and eon ago some guys broke into one of the racers garages and stole a bunch of stuff. They got to bragging around and the racers found out who it was. 6 of the bigger guys the smallest about 260 paid a visit in the evening hours and arranged some restitution. All the parts were returned plus cash for the inconvience and pay for the viglantees time and travel. With an understanding that if they come around again they might find themselves out in the dessert tied to motor blocks. Never saw them again.

Was that flying saucer icon happen to be called Spyware Strike ? If so I got it.

I am in the process of backing up all of the pictures and everything before I reformat my machine. Stupid viruses and spyware. Ad-aware, Spybot search and destroy, and AVG anti virus have been unable to purge my machine of this garbage.
