Pouring white smoke and engine knock...
Yeah, the mechanic for the local dodge dealer put his diagnostic tool on, no codes that would lead to anything... He as well said the white smoke is a timing issue. The fuel is coming in too early and the cylinder(s) aren't hot enough to burn it completely. The sucky thing about it is that while he was there the truck ran great and no smoke.... after he left I took it around the block and white smoke.... not as much as before and the rough/idle wasn't there.
If its the injectors, can they be fixed or what? Because I didn't buy them new... so if they can't be fixed then I'm kinda screwed.

sounds like one of the injectors has a low pop off. If it pops low it will let in too much fuel to early not letting a complete burn happen and blow unburnt fuel out that will be whitish in color and knock and stumble from the cyclinder not lighting properly on the cylindr with the bad injector.
if you suspect a miss and or a bad cylinder or a pop off that is messed up get a hand held laser temp gun and run the engine if you can . i cant remember the running normal temps, but either the bad one will be to hot or colder depending if that is what it is. we used these on the big white superior compressors v16 and the old cold blooded cats.Bit harder to get accurate readings on the smaller motors. but i have seen a Cummins tech do it to , quite fast way to do preliminary diagnostic
