Electrical "Meltdown"

OK so I'm having major electrical issues with my truck. Last week had a problem which fried my alternator and both batteries. Put new batts and alternator in and when I hooked up the batteries, the air intake heater is stuck on!?? I traced the wires back and they all look to be in decent shape. So what do I do now? I live in the middle of nowhere and the closest mechanic is over an hour away. You're my first line of help.

just sounds like a stuck heater relay. disconnect the heaters until you can get a new one.

From: North Carolina or Kentucky. Take your pick
Disconnect relays instead. Located between battery(left) and mastercylinder. Insulate wiring so not to short anywhere.
