Panel/defrost/floor

Has anyone worked on there motor controls for there Panel?
Mine quite adjusting and is always coming out of panel nomatter where I put control.
I started taking it apart too fix and let me tell you there must be 100 screws holding dash together, problem is there is a reinforment brace behind dash looks like I need too take this off also?
Has anyone done this before? If so help Please.
03 58000 warranty out 36000.

Before taking anything else apart, check for any vacuum leaks under the dash or under the hood (along the firewall). It may be that a vacuum line is leaking. I have accidently knocked a line loose when messing with something under the hood. You might get lucky and find that to be the problem. Sure would beat having to tear the dash apart.

I did find that motor for panel is working.
But plastic gear that motor connects to just will spin buy hand. Almost as there isn't anything connected too other side?
