Unhappy p7100 on 95 auto problens

Sorry about the length of this post.

I am having P7100 injector pump problems. But I do not know which area is causing my problem.

1. engine runs rough at all speeds tends to smooth out some at higher RPMs but still rough
2. It feels as though the pedal return spring is to light like it doesn’t want to return to idle every time wants to hang about 1500 RPM.
3. Once I give it to much pedal while starting it went to 3000+ RPMs.
4. I drove it some seemed alright except for idle problem for a couple miles and about 5 or 6 engine starts
5. started to town and the RPMS went to 3000 + RPMs and would not shut down could only control the RPMs by keeping it in gear but the transmission acted like it was in high gear with the converter locked all the time.
6. got it home and while trying to shut it off the last time it revved to 3000+ RPMs ran there for about 15 seconds and died on its own now I’m afraid to start it
7. It was not showing black smoke

Now some background, everything was normal prior to this:

this weekend I tried to do the free GSK and when I checked the height if the stud it was running about .070. From most of the recommendations I seen said to set it about .045 so i set it there. That may have been a mistake and causing # 2

then i Slid AFC all the way towards the front of the engine.

And then I went to reset my timing and when I pulled the gear loose it came loose too soon and too easy and I missed it turning loose because I thought that the puller had slipped. So I redid the puller and I applied very excessive force to the puller while it did not deform the timing cover. It did get to the point I could not turn the engine with the barring tool and I was advancing the injection pump with the turning of the puller. At this point was going to back the engine up to reset timing height on pump I discovered could not turn the engine over so took the puller off and found that the gear was already loose I do not know what kind of damage I may have done here with all that pressure on the cam (edit: in the injector pump.)

I’m afraid I may have a major snafu here

sounds like the rack is sticking now. give you excessive fueling. and hanging up when not returning to idle. I'm really not sure if major pressure on the IP cam will affect the rack but maybe.

Sticking rack or the throttle linkage is binding.
Other people have had problems after doing the free GSK mod.. honestly Id be afraid of doing the free mod after having read a handfull of those posts. I just went and bought the TST kit.
If youre afraid of a runaway, rig something up to cut the airflow to the turbo.
3k wont damage anything but if the governor was bad it could have gone a lot higher.
If you think you might have pressed hard on the cam, inspect the plug on the back of the block by the bell housing for any damage.
