p0606 on 02 24v

Hey guys, my pickup started surging and sure enough I now have the p0606 code, as I search for it on the forums I find most the threads are for the 03 and up. Is this most likely due to my edge comp? The pump wire isn't tapped and the comp spends most of the time turned off. Is there a pretty good chance that I will be investing in a new ECM? I'm going to remove the edge tonight and see if that helps???
Thanks
-Scott

This is what alldata says:

SYMPTOM
P0606-ECM FAILURE

WHEN MONITORED
Key ON or Engine running

SET CONDITION
Internal ECM error.

POSSIBLE CAUSES

ECM

The only fix to it is to have the dealer install a new ecm and flash it.

Is the ECM I need to replace the one on the block? or the firewall?
The truck left me on the side of the road, and I just walked back to my house it's cold outside. I checked the codes again and now I've got 8 more to research, but i'm hoping it's all related to that same problem.

on the firewall on engine side on passenger side. It is a rectangle and has 2 long wiring connectors bolted into it. It should be gray aluminum colored.

Thanks for the help. Looks like I'm going to drop it off at the dealership tonight and prepare myself for the assault on my wallet. Didn't even make it one year between big repair bills

UPDATE- The dealership told me it is the APPS due to all the other codes my pickup had thrown p0563, p0121, p0118, p0113, etc.... etc.. there was about a dozen of them that had tripped before it left me walking, and all these codes seem to deal with the voltage being to high. The only puzzling thing was the original code was just the p0606. Could the APPS be causing all of this mayhem??
