My brother is on the road and has gotten this code under acceleration. Anybody seen this or heard of this before. He's checking his harness connections.

P0205 injector #5 control circuit???

 

Is his truck the 06 listed? If so, it will need to have scan done with a real scan tool and look for the companion codes that do not light the dashboard light. You want to look for one of the codes in the P022X or 23X series for a sensor failure, or P0273-275 if it is an injector failure.

If it is an 05 or earlier, then follow the A/C wiring harness from the compressor up and around the head, and look for frayed insulation that is causing an intermittent ground.

What the code is telling you is that there is a low power event taking place on the #5 injector. On the trucks since 05, it usually turns out to be "pressure washer poisoning", a condition where the harness has become corroded at one or more terminals and is experiencing high resistance. The corrosion is generally caused by flooding or indiscriminate use of a pressure washer. But, it can be anything from an injector solenoid beginning to fail to a ground in one of the unrelated sensor circuits that run to the same power bus and pulling the voltage low.

 

Brilliant forgot to tighten #5 injector nuts when doing head studs!!
