I got a po205 code on my truck. I pulled it up with the smarty. the description was Injector number 5 control circuit. the truck ran rough on the way to work. no white or gray smoke but I think im going to haul it back home tomorrow just to be safe. now the question I have is the wiring bad going to the injector or is the injector bad? thanks for any input in advance

 

noone has had this same code?

 

have you removed the valve cover, installed different injectors, or removed the injector wires(at the injectors) before?
i have seen the wire lugs rotate and just touch the rocker arm, shorting out causing rough running and that code.

 

or the solenoid could be going bad and throw that code

 

Swapping the injector with another hole will tell you what you need to know.

yes sir. we have had the valve cover off a couple times here lately. I am hoping it is not an injector. thank you for the info
