No Bus In Window

Once again I have no bus in my odometer window and have checked all the fuses and found none blown. I have also run a self check diagnostic and the following codes appeared, check 900,920,921,940,950,999. Does anyone have any ideas on what this could be or should I just take it to the man at the big sign now..I have no dash and guages but she still runs like a bear. thanks for reading and i hope you can help. Mark

im having the same problem on my truck and i think it is just a loose connection behind the cluster because everything else is ok it sounds like that is a pretty common problem.

You don't have to go the the "MAN" with the sign. I had a brake ABS problem and a young man with a small shop had a Snap On tool. Did all the codes and cleared them. One heck of a lot easier to deal with. Lots of smaller shops have the tools. Just too expensive to buy for your self. He said $7000.

Thanks for the advice, I will try that one. The first light that came on was the abs lite. Maybe that is the prob.. will also check the cluster connections.. thanks again..

my truck did the same thing at one point, this may seem odd but it turned out to be a loose battery terminal. it has never done it again.

same symptoms as you described

Mine had the same problems plus no a/c clutch and alternator. Ended up being the PCM.

There is also a ground wire that corrodes down behind the left kick panel, that will cause this.

I Checked The Ground Wire And The Terminals. Niether One Was The Problem Though. I Guess Its Time To Go To The Shop And Put Her On An Analizer And See If They Can Tell Me Something Unless There Are Any More Ideas Today. Thanks To All For Your Help You Guys Are The Best. Take It Easy And Be Well...

Another good thing about going to a small independent shop is the guy was very proud of his scanner. Showed me how it works and let me see all the codes he found. Try that at the MAN with the big sign.
