New fuel filter, wont start?
Thanks guys. I went in from the top and it took me just under an hour from the time I opened the hood to the time that it fired up. Not too bad for the first time to do one IMHO.
I did find it interesting that O'Reilly's "low price guarantee" was $183.99 and Cummins was $160. Of course O'Reilly's has a "lifetime guarantee" on theirs.
I went with the Cummins.
Thanks again for the help. The truck is headed for Indiana tomorrow so I'll keep my fingers crossed on that IP.

I had the same problem with my truck (lift pump) and I agree with Chris on getting that sucker changed out before you melt down the VP-44. My truck was stumbling sometimes so I changed out the filter and it seemed to help then it started acting up again so for kicks I checked for any stored codes and low and behold I had a code for injection circuit malfunction, ooooops so I took it to the dealer and they slapped on a new lift pump but buy the time the new pump was installed the damadge was done. two weeks went buy and it seemed that everyting was cool, until it started acting up again ( go to accelerate and nothing happens) so I went back to the dealer and they put on a new VP-44 without blinking an eye. They knew I was going to be back just so happened they had one on the shelf for me? ooh well the moral of this long winded story is get rid of the stock lift pump and go with the FASS you will be surprised a little more power easy start up and if you go with FASS 2 you can have the same benifits as the big trucks.
