A buddy of mine is having the same issue with his SD. I told him to disconnect the breather hose and let it vent to the outside but he's looking at a Racor crankcase breather trap for the 7.3.

it was already mention about how the hpop works next time it acts up remove the cover on the hpop and check the oil level if you fill and it fires right off thats your problem right there
