my tailights won't turn off!!!!!

i've checked everything... my truck is off with the lights off and yet my tailights are still on.... and they came on while the truck was off and parked....

my headlights are off, taillights are on... so i pulled the fuse for the brake lights.... and sure the brake lights don't work anymore but the **** lights are still on.

i'm about ready to kill this thing.. i couldn't even find a fuse to kill the lights!!!!!! i ended up having to pull hte bulbs on both sides...

any help is appreciated!

If you pulled fuses and could not kill it. Has to be picking up power from something thats not fused and I cant think of anything that should be that way. I think there is a relay that runs the head lights no fuse if the switch is bad maybe shorted( is this just the tail lights or all parking lights?) I can tell now your going to make this more difficult arnt you

If you have a 12vdc accessory connection in your trailer connection, there may be a short inside the plug, back-feeding the tail lights. This happened to me on my half-ton a few years ago and I went batty for two days trying to chase it.

Good luck
Josh

You sure it's not the brake lights rather than the tail lights?
Could be a bad brake light switch.
Disconnect the switch and see if they go off.

update:

so i put the bulbs back in and drove it down to the shop so i could throw her up on the hoist instead of looking at her in the mud and by the time i walked around the trailer plug was smokin good.. like you guys said there was a short in the female plugged... melted the plug really good.

least it didnt' burn my truck down.

Thanks guys
