lift pump leaking

lift pump leaking

My lift pump on my 97 is leaking a little under the ruber boot is it a place to tighten it up or will i have to replace it

I have read that there is an o-ring in there that can be replaced. I do not know if this can be accomlished without removing the pump.

The O-ring is a stock item at NAPA. But, you do have to pull the pump and take the old O-ring in with you as they do not have a cross reference to the lift pump part number. The last one I did was 18 cents!

thanks I am going to put on a airdog system but i will fix it so i will have some spare parts
