Lift Pump help

Okay i just installed the holley blue fuel pump on my truck tonight. And i cannot get it to draw fuel up. The pump will get warm while cranking and get's power to the pump. But it just doesn't seem like the pump is working like it should. I installed the red wire to red wire and the factory lift pump brown wire to the black on the holley. I doesn't seem to be working at all. And the pump is brand new.

Anything else to check on this. Or is it possible i got a bad pump. Or is there some thing i passed up while wiring. I also did away with the factory fuel canister and used remote filter heads and filters. So therefore the big plug for the factory canister is unplugged along with the water in fuel indicator.

HELP...

I wonder if maybe you have a plug in the line between the pump and the tank

I put a suc/vac pump and hooked it up and pulled fuel all the way up to the injection pump. But it doesn't even sound like the pump is running. I am going to check it out today. I messed with it for hours yesterday.

How exactly should the wiring be for the Walbro. Should i just use the red wire from the factory harness then ground the black wire directly to the frame rail?

Are you powering the pump via a relay or wired to the factory lift pump harness? If you have it hooked to the factory harness, try running 12V to the pump directly from the battery, see if it pumps. I'd recommend powering the pump from a relay off the battery, using the factory lift pump harness as a switch for the relay. HTH

Thanks for the info. I pulled the pump back off the truck and bench tested it. It was pumping just fine. I re-installed the pump back on the truck and it works just fine now. But i now have a boost leak and did not touch none of the charge piping. I guess i will address that problem in a little while.

Thanks DTR for all the help.
