leaking fuel

leaking fuel

well just like the title says my 04.5 is leakin fuel from somewhere around the injection pump it seems possibly underneath it somewhere. all the fuel lines looked good and didnt have fuel around em. is this a common problem the lil bit of searching i did came up with not much?

ok i think i found out the cause, sorry new to diesels headin to dodge tommorow to see if they will replace and warrenty it

Some pics would be helpful. Good luck on the warranty...

I'd spray it down with some brake parts cleaner and try to isolate the leak.

i couldnt see it per say but feeling around feels like it was comin from under neath where the wires go into the pump.. searched on here and seen several posts on this same issue in cold winter months ranging from like 99s to 07s. took it into dodge after changing the warrenty over to me for a small transfer fee they say it should be warrentied with a 100 deductible

no that was clean it was from underneath like more towards where it connects to the block kinda

Whatever the case, as long as Dodge will fix it, who cares where it's leaking from, huh?

yea, dodge just called me and said they will warrenty it they said its leakin between two brackets not sure which there talkin about when i looked at it but oh well thats like a couple grand i dont have to pay.
