when u start your truck, try unplugging the map with it running. if it changes the way the engine idles, it is probably working like it is supposed to.

I sell superchips and have seen them bad out of the box

 

The super chips was actually a friends, and he let me try it for the weekend, and immediatly after it finished downloading it threw the code. It was fine on his truck which is a 99. So I am not sure why it threw a code, but I will have to try unpluging the mapp while the truck is idling.
