I got a noise in the front end, that I can't find and its killing me. . Its a 02 2500 4X4 QC auto. It start only at slow speeds , as in parking lots. Now 25mph or less any kind of bump, large or small theres a sound like theres a plastic flasher in a metal can. right in front on the drivers side. as far as I can tell.
I have 40K on it now. I replaced the shocks and trackbar and put rubber spacers in the springs at the ends where the touch. also drilled all the tierods and steering shaft and installed grease fittings.And drove with the endlinks off.
Still have the noise ???. Can anyone HELP?

I am not sure if you replaced the front shocks before or after you noticed the noise but the dodge are famous for loose lower shock mount bolts making noise. The lower bolts must compress the collar inside the bushing on the shock or you will get a rattle. Other than that I am not sure other than a bad balljoint or a cab mount being loose.

Well for those that have a noise thats sounds like the frontend like mine did.
I finally broke down and went back to the Dealer.
It turned out they had a few of these and knew about the noise and Dodge make an update to cure it.
It was the steering column shift linkage, and theres a $3.00 spring that fixes the problem.
Anyway after all that I did to my truck it now feels better than new and quite too.

If you have hub caps it could be something in there.
