Been hunting this site for help, I do appreciate all the help here.
My 98 1/2 24 valve cummins. This is what happened. I had erratic changes in the rpms and sometimes engine would just shut down. first scan came up, P0336,P1689,P0720,P1693, P1690. I changed the Speed Sensor in the tranny, first ,no change. Then the crankshaft position sensor. Everything smoothed out, ran fine. Hooked up my trailer and went to work. OD didn't kick in right away , but maybe about ten minutes on the highway , bam OD and Cruise. Next day, No OD, No Cruise, Rest of gears shift fine. Scanned ECM, Never cleared first scan. Cleared
old codes, Then ran again, Codes came back: P1693, P1690,P0336. Seems the crankshaft sensor again. I had OD before the change out but engine ran lousy ,now engine seems fine but no OD. I'm going to take CKT out and check. otherwise stumped. Any help ? Thanks

 

Cleaned TPS, Checked connections still no OD or Cruise. Codes that come up are P1693, and had P1690 twice. ???????????

Help please, luv my truck , and sure don't want to ruin Tranny
