Help!!Fuel leak

Ive been smelling fuel diesel for a week or so. Today when I got out I see a pretty steady dripping from the trans area. The trans, front drive line are soaked, Lookin under I can follow it up around where it goes over the bellhousing where there are 3 lines or so but cant really tell where its comming from. Any typical failure areas on a 95 4x4 stick? Also the filter area and pump are are dry.
Thank You.
Update: I see 2 rubber lines with hose type clamps. The smaller, long line that pulses while running is leaking. The larger short line is not. Is the smaller the return? Also I cannot find marine grade line around here. Im at work and we have some Gates fuel line. Is states Not for fuel injection use. I know typical gasser injection line is high pressure. Is this OK to use? I gotta get it home today. Guess there are the dreaded return and supply lines.
Thanks again.

Those steel lines change to rubber. Get some diesel rated hose, 3/8 and 5/16 and replace them. There are instructions with diagrams on this site.
It ain't fun!

I was able to replace the leaking line without tearing anything apart as described in the search directions, other than unhookin the front driveline. I have gorilla length arms I suppose. . I also am replacing the overflow valve and filter. MAN, THE FILTER IS A BUGGER. Without our vehicle pit Id never get it. what is a honest change interval? Ive been doing it every other oil change, around 12k. Is this really to often? Also for all the guys replacing the overfolw valve, the replacement I got from the good folks advertised here for $30 (cant remember thier name) It will not quite fit with out grinding the head casting right above it. The new valve is about 3/32 taller and prohibits a drop in to the hole. No biggie, just do it before taking the old one out or put it back in to prevent any metal shavings from enerting the hole.

I wouldn't go over 15k on the filter, every other oil change works pretty good for most people.

Going at the fuel filter from the bottom is not the way.
The trick on your '95 fuel filter is to remove the two nuts that hold the master cylinder on, disconnect the large vacuum hose from the booster and pull the whole thing towards the driver's side. Tons of room from the top then.

I go 25k on filter changes but have a fuel pressure gauge to monitor the condition. Pays for itself with just one needless filter change. Gauge is the only way, one bad load of fuel and the filter can clog in 10 miles, clean fuel and it can go much longer.
Even at 25k I've never have seen any clogging. Buddy of mine went 84k with the filter that came on his truck when new before it clogged. All depends on where you get your fuel.

If you want to really simplify future fuel line and filter changes, install a Racor 445 or 450 with the built-in primer pump in the feed line that goes to the fuel heater. It makes priming a 1 minute or less job. I use a 5 micron filter cartridge on my Racor, and only have to change the OEM primary filter every 50,000 miles.

Prime Loc also made a relocating kit for the OEM primary filter that moved it up and forward so guys with big hands could change the thing easily. I imagine the kit is still available.
