I put 30 gallons of unleaded into the tank. I drove it about a mile before I realized the mistake. The truck was running rough when I shut it off. I siphened out about 33 gallons out of the tank and plan to change the fuel filter. By the way I have the 6.7. Am I on the right track? What else should I do.

 

That's about all you can do other then fill the tank with diesel to dilute any remaining gas in tank. Should be OK then. Good Luck

 

Should I pull the tank and empty all the fuel out before refueling.

 

these things are pretty forgiving- I run the nastyest garbage(waste motor oil) thru mine(a 5.9) with no troubles. If you got 30 gallons out, fill her up with #2, give her some additive, and let her rip!! She will forgive ya

 

put in 2 cycle oil to the diesel fuel

 

Replace filter and fill with PS or fuel. Loosen a fuel pressure line and crank. Trying to get as much gas out as possible and diesel into pump ASAP. The mix in tank is probablly O'K

 

Thanks to all. I have just got it all back together and seems to be back to normal. Few....... I suppose I learned my lesson on that one.
