Fuel stinks

Hey guys...I just fueled up with diesel and noticed it doesn't smell right. I investigated further and noticed something is really different. It smells like GLUE!! Anyone know what I'm talking about? I'm kind of thinking this might just be in my head, but not sure. I'm afraid to drive. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

I would go back to the same place and get a sample, then go in and ask them if they have had any complaints.

I do know this, the newer fuel has very little smell at all. I would investigate before I would run it at all, especially with a CR truck.

You are just north of me, I hope it is not bad fuel I am going to go fill up when I get off work. Most of the fuel in this area all comes from the same pipeline.

Are you sure the fuel isn't B20?

Sometimes the bio has a glue-like smell to it.

If your engine is still running, then there is a good chance it's a bio blend as mentioned above. If you haven't smelled bio before, it can be a shocker. When I first filled up with B99 I couldn't believe the smell while it was pumping.
What type of glue? I can't picture what glue smells like...

I was thinking the bio diesel thing as well, but I looked hard at the pump and it was very clearly marked as just ULSD, just like normal. I went ahead and drove it today quite a bit actually with no problems....so, fingers crossed. By the way, I did go back and ask, but as usual they just had this dumbfounded look on their faces like they weren't even sure what diesel fuel is.

NEED HELP! I have a 1998 Dodoge 3500 with the 12 valve motor. I replaced the "computer" that controls the dash gages, charging system air conditioner compressor ect. in October of 2006. Guess what its out again. Can anyone tell me why or how this happens and how to prevent it, or where to get a less expensive one.

i don't know about everywhere, bit a lot of places are using blended fuel b-5,10,20; to acheive the ULSD, some of my batches are and some are not, i always fill up at the same place, price and quality. and the sticker is a ULSD and in small print on one of the 8 stickers it says it may be blended with up to 20% bio diesel.

The large Co-op around here blends all their fuel with 2-5% Bio(depending on price of Bio) and I dont believe it is labeled.

Thanks guys. You pretty well have me convinced at this point that it's probably blended bio-diesel. The smell is definitely a shocker, doesen't even smell like diesel. However, as I said before, I've been running that tank for a few days now and can't tell a difference from before. Runs great as usual. Thanks for the replys.
