Fuel in the Oil ////mixed ????
Ok just got back in from driving my 2005 Ram Diesel..... I was wondering if someone could tell me what the drain hose is right near the fuel filter drain hose..... I noticed my Turbo sounding a little different so after I shut the truck off I could smell fuel and I looked under my truck and noticed that the fuel/oil what sprayed all the way to the tailgate so I restarted the truck and noticed that the fuel/oil is coming out of a tube (not the fuel filter drain tube) so then I decieded to check my oil level and notice that its overfull and smells like fuel..... has anyone heard of this???? and what could be the problem??
thanks
thanks

I did take it off and since my truck is under warrenty I will get it towed to a dealer ....
also I was wondering does this hurt the turbo?? I notice it started to sound funny..... and should I ask dealer to replace turbo or check boost once they fix the problem??

thanks for the help!! now I just hope that I didnt damage anything to bad!!.. I willl also do a search to see if the XZT increases fuel pressure... if so do you think this why I have injector problems?

its hard to say but i dont think its cause of the box, theres too many trucks with the xzt that didnt have this problem, i think there is a problem with some of the injectors, and how many miles u got

OK my dealer called and told me that one injector is bad... and he informed me that the turbo would not be harmed because of fuel in the oil.... so my question is how do you check to find out if the Turbo has been damaged at all??? Would a BOOST test tell him???
I tried to convence the dealer to replace turbo seeing I am still under factory warrenty but he ensured me that it would be fine but couldn't tell me how he knows..

remove the air intake and try to wiggle the shaft up and down. Shouldnt be any play in there. Look for scuffs in the case from the blades too.
Also rotate it and feel for roughness or spots where it catches. Shouldnt be any

testing injectors
I am having the same problem with my truck. Does anyone know a way to test the injectors to see which one is bad without having to take it into the shop?
Thanks

Quick Test for Injectors
Get a infrared temperature gun (approx $100.00) at automotive supply store. From cold start the engine and check the temp at each of the exhaust ports on the exhaust manifold. All temps should increase relatively evenly. If one seems to be significantly cooler than the other then the injectors, the injector may be washed out resulting in over fueling causing cooler temps. If the temp on one is hotter than the rest, may be due to a lean condition caused by a plugged injector.
