Tech mixed oil and --- 13qts

Had my oil changed today.

went out and bought 12 quarts of rotella 5w40. dropped it off and the tech told me it was low (upon picking my truck up) so he grabbed a quart of some no name synthetic 10w40.

so, I'm at 13 quarts with one random quart.

is this okay??

i would be telling them they are changing the oil free of charge with a new filter. probably will never do anything to the motor but the fact he just grabbed some odd ball oil is the issue

Its also pretty weird that it would be "low" after 12 quarts.

Since I am paranoid to let anybody I don't know touch my truck I gotta ask, are you SURE he even used your oil you dropped off?? I have never been "low" after putting in all 3 gallons (12 qts) of oil.

I would be having them buy me another 3 gallons of oil and a new filter and then watch them change it.

I wouldnt worry as long as there both synthetic, but my 5.9 takes just under 12 quarts so where the hell did the other quart go, I wouldnt mix dino oil and synthetic.

thanks for the input.

it's super annoying...I brought in my own oil and told him to put in 12 qts...no more...and look what happened. it makes me sad to know there's people like that out there.
