Fuel leak from canister stopckcock

I've noticed that I've had a very slight fuel leak from the canister stopcock for sometime now. Well today I decided to take it apart and see what was up. Well that was a mistake. Of the 4 little torx screws that hold that little booger, I can only get one of them tight. The 3 others don't "bite" and they just keep spinning. Then I thought to myself, the screws need to be a tad bit longer, and maybe then they will "bite." I got a file and took off 1/16" from the front side of the plastic (to make the screws sit farther in to the canister threads). No luck. So I told myself I can live w/ the small leak...well I start the truck up, and now its leaking 10 times worse than before. It was a small drip every other second, now its a steady stream coming for the loosest of the 4 screws. No matter how much I tighted and turn, it don't get tight. Would a new stopcock help the problem, or am I looking at a new canister, if the threads on the inside of that thing are striped? Any ideas guys....

P.S. The two o-rings in between the stopcock and canister are fine.

I've seen used complete fuel filter canisters on ebay.

Ahh i forgot about that thread from a few weeks ago. I like the idea of replacing that POS plasitc piece w/ a brass valvle.

Well for now the problem is fixed. I tried everything yesterday to get to stop leaking (bigger o-rings, home made o-rings, rtv and so on). I couldn't get it and said to helk w/ it and put it all back together. Well low and behold, its not leaking. I guess I put the 4 little screws back in the right spots and in the right order. Oh well....
