Hi,
I have a 1993 Dodge D250 with a Cummins 5.9 litre engine. I found fuel leaking from the bottom of the fuel injector pump. Upon further inspection I discovered a plug missing on the bottom of the pump. I'm not sure if this is a drain plug or exactly what it is. It's a bad enough leak that I won't use the truck until a fix is found. Anybody got an idea what I need and where I can get the part?
Many thanks to all, Bob Hawthorne

The hole is about in the middle of the bottom of the injector pump. It is threaded and looks like it could be 3/16 pipe thread. I'm afraid to put a pipe plug in there without knowing for sure. Thanks for the help, Bob Hawthorne
If you are loosing a good amount of fuel it likely is the timing piston cover has come loose and blown or pushed out the oring under the cover. I fixed one 3 years ago for a guy that pumped out 3/4 of a tank of fuel in 25-30 miles left a good trail behind cleaned all the undercoating off and still was running fine .
Like wanna said easy fix once the pump is off that is the only way you can get to it.

Many thanks for the feedback. I'll take you advise and get the pump off and have a look. I'm glad I found this site. You guys are great!
Thanks, Bob Hawthorne
Thanks, Bob Hawthorne
Fill in you signature so we know where you are and what your truck is .
If you are doing this yourself be careful not to drop anything down inside the timing cover and get the engine up to TDC and lock the pump before you remove it also make sure not to get any dirt in the pump or fuel system .
