Flickering HID....how to fix

Anyways, the more I read the more I see that a lot of 3rd gen dodge ram guys get this problem. I have also read much more that I see a lot of guys wiring in a resistor or capacitor to fix this issue. The wiring in isn't the issue I'm pretty handy, but I just need to know where lol. I'm lost when it comes to finding out exactly where to wire this stuff in. I have an HID kit that has the high/low option, and also came with relays.

From what I read is that you need a 3-4 ohm 100 watt resistor to wire into the low beam side on the factory harness before the headlight plug (male/female end). Anyways, I just was wondering if anyone could help me with A) Where the hell I find a resistor like that? and B) Where exactly I wire this resistor into??

I'm lost

got mine from radio shack 20 watt 8ohms and you have to wire it from the low beam wire at your headlight socket to a good ground, that took care of my problems with the flickering.

Question for you guys. Did you guys just splice into the factory harness. Make a cut in the low beam wire and tie into the wire that way? Also did you solder this resistor into the wire.

Yes i used a t-tap to hook it to the low beam wire, and i solder the the resistor to the wire and used heat shrink around the solder, and then ran the other end to a good ground.

I tried installing the 8ohm 20 watt resistor today to no avail. Did not work. Any other ideas?

Strange now though. If I allow the HID's to warm up all the way prior to starting the truck I don't get any flickering?????

I bought the kit with relays so I wouldn't have any problems

No I never get the lamp out indicator. I only get the flickering HID on the driver side.

Not that I saw, I'm pretty sure I did it correctly too =/. I tested the factory plug in with a voltmeter and got 12v when lowbeam was on, other side has 12v when the highs were on. I soldered into the low beam wire, and grounded it out like you said. Didn't do anything. Any way you could get pictures or help me out??? Thanks for all you've done thus far

I have the stock harness harness with relays yes. I spliced into the stock harness to try with the resistor.
