I was doing some more reading on here and a guy with an '06 suggested an 3-4ohm 100w resistor(w/heatsink) and that got rid of his lamp out light, but im not sure if its different between '03-05/'06+

PS, if the harness works, type in hid20off or whatever discount from the main page and it knocks it down to $65 with free shipping, not cheap, but cheaper

ok i just installed hids on my buddies 05, his kit used the driver socket to turn the hids on and relays to power them, when we first tried them them blinked, so me installed a resistor to the driver side socket(white wire with a blue chaser) and they worked fine.

Ok and you said you wired it between the factory plug in, and the ballast, or just right before the factory socket? Also you said you wired the resistor in, and just grounded it?

I wired the resistor into the wire for factory headlight socket, i used a t-tap and hooked it to the white wire with a blue tracer (05 model driver side) to a good ground and it worked fine, he did have a lamp out signal, but we didnt wire the passanger side because we ran out of time.

thanks james
You need to get two 8ohm 20 watt resistor from radio shack, and use a t-tap on the low beam wire on the both factory headlight socket, and run it to a good ground......NOTE: i take the resistor and solder it to 14gauge wire on both ends and put head shrink over the solder, t-tap on one end and and the other to ground

I gave up kinda, i put the lights from my dodge back in my 96 ford 7.3 and ordered the above Bi-X kit, they have regular beam $55 shiped but they will be here soon and im gonna try em out, there site states that the dodges 03+ need a digital harness and its free!! so if it works... buy em insted of the other harness for 85 or 65 and have a spare set of hids for less money,

My lights in my ford are 2 years old and the cheapes set on ebay at the time and work fine i want brights for the dodge, i have kc's on the ford relayed off the brights.

but i will let you guys know if they work for sure

oh yeah i couldn't get my lights to work with the radio shack risistors. $2.50es wasted. I even tryed them with relay also and added other trailer lights to increase load and nothing. So if these lights dont do it i will go buy new resistors as they may be bad? they got hot tho...

if you ask they will up the warranty to two years on the bi-x lights

The truck doesnt care if the fog lights are burn out as some models dont come with them so thats why the fog lights work.

I even got hit in the front end, some older lady ran a red. took out my fog lens and bumper, when i got out of the truck the hids were still on. tough little things. i want to put them in my quad
