Mine is working intermittenly as well ( starter solenoid ). Could it just need cleaned? If so how do you all do it?

If you're going to go though the hassle of cleaning it might as well replace the contacts.
Instructions here would be about the same to clean as to replace contacts.

Both you guys who haven't addressed the starter sticking should take care of it ASAP otherwise you could be looking at up to $500 worth of damage.

Are you sure, maybee I did not explain my problem well?? What I mean is that the solenoid is "sticking", The starter was recently rebuilt. The selonoid will slowly drop when I turn the key off. Sometimes when I try to start the truck it starts for about a second then quits. I can then turn the key on, lift the solenoid, and start the truck.

Kinda sounds like the pull coil is goin bad. There are timers available that fit the solenoid to prevent it from burning up, shuld the pull current get stuck on. I know the one on my service truck should fit and is only like $80, significantly less than the solenoid...
