Truck won't shut down

Is there an adjustment on the shutdown solonoid?

My truck starts and runs good but I have to manually shut it down.
It just started doing it today I was pulling my trailer and used the cooldown timer a couple times and that worked fine but when I got home I turned the key off and it stayed running. I checked to see if I had hit the timer button , but hadn't so I lifted the hood and only had to barely touch the linkage on the solonoid and it shut right down.
Any help would be appreciated .

Sounds like a dirty solenoid plunger. Perhaps the boot is ripped and sticking?

I would agree with smokee, take it off and clean the solenoid and I would bet the boot is in bad shape, they can be found at www.fostertruck.com or a bicycle tube makes good ones. Also the relay could be going out foster's has them also. Goodluck,,Rick
