Duramax issues

Just had a call from a friend , his 01 D-Max is having some issues , it has just under 200 000 kms on the clock , the last couple days it has been running rough at idle , and started losing power, it's also blowing oil out of the breather tube on the right front corner of the engine , enough to coat the underside of the truck he says...

Any thoughts or suggestions?

Thanks, Jayme.

Injector warranty should be to 200,000 miles. That is what the letter that the dealership sent me.
He needs to check the oil and if it is over full and smells like diesel. he has bad injectors. It should set off CEL. It should go in to "safe mode"

In most cases, no. Ive only seen a very small number of trucks actually set codes due to bad injectors. Almost all of them just run like crap, smoke, and fill the crank case with diesel. Keep driving it, and it wipes out a bearing.
