Dually hubs same as SRW?
This is my first post on this forum, and let me just say there is a WEALTH of knowledge to be had on this site! I have searched threads and I could not find an answer to my question, so here it goes:
I have a 2006 Quad Cab, Dually, 5.9 Cummins, 4x4. My right front hub locked up on me last week on the freeway, luckily I was in the right hand lane and I just went off into the median. The dealership replaced both front axles under warranty, and they said that only the right front hub was bad.
Are the hubs the same on all 2500/3500 SRW DRW Cummins?
The dealership wants something like $600 just for the hub, no installation.
Where is the cheapest place to purchase my hub with an oem style?
All of the local parts houses are out of stock and back-ordered.
and are they all the same from 2003-2007?
Thank you in advance for any and all information and
THIS SITE ROCKS!!!

2006 Not 2007
My appologize it is a 2006. My truck has 107k miles with about 15k miles left on the extended warranty that I bought when I purchased the truck used. The dealership said that the hubs were not covered under warranty but that the axles and U-joints would be. Maybe I need to dig a little deeper and find out why they weren't covered
Ahh... that makes a little more sense. If your extended warranty covers axles and u-joints, you'd expect hubs to be covered too, but, I guess they're all difference. If the newer duallies are set up like the 2nd gens, then you've got a spacer on the front hub to allow for the dually rim in the front, and its otherwise the same as a 2500. Hopefully someone more familiar with the 3rd gens can chime in.
Good luck!

All the local parts supply houses cannot get ahold of the '06 and up hubs. Are the '03-'05 hubs same as the '06? Do the single and dual rear wheel trucks have the same front hub? Anyone know?
Not sure on that one, I owned a 2nd gen Dodge, but I traded it for a Chevy about a year ago... so I'm not real familiar with the 3rd gen Dodges.
I would call the dealer and ask them if the part numbers are the same.
