couple of codes

i got the famous p1688 code after a sudden shut down today. I am also getting the p0380. Can anyone tell me what the P0380 means, and what to do to fix? Also, the P1688, I have read it means the IP is bad, is there any other possibilities it could be? Or am I out of luck? Thanks in advance for any help

0380 Intake air heater relay no. 1 control circuit. 1688 is companion code and does not necessarily mean Ip.

So does that mean I have a bad relay, and it could possibly fix this problem??

1693 is the companion code.

P1688 Internal Fuel Injection Pump Controller Failure

Does not bode well.

Definetly wanting to do that. After reading up on it, the only thing people complain about on the HRVP is the rough idle. But it doesnt seem to be a problem. other than that, what else should I change out to support the extra power the HRVP provides? I see it is reccomended to change the other pump, anything else.?
