Diesel Leaks Out Of Rollover Valve

ANYONE HAVE THIS PROBLEM. I JUST GOT MY 2006 DODGE RAM MEGACAB 3500.
WHEN I FILL IT UP IS LEAKS OUT THE ROLLOVER VALVE. DEALER SAYS I WAS PUTTING TOO MUCH FUEL IN. I HAD A 2004 DODGE RAM 2500 QUADCAB AND I COULD FILL IT UP TO THE TOP OF THE NECK. I CAN'T EVEN PARK ON HILLS.YOU SHOULD SEE THE PUDDLY IN MY DRIVEWAY. DEALER SAID WHEN YOU FILL IT UP LET THE PUMP CLICK OFF AND DON'T PUT NO MORE IN. SO I DID THAT AND IT STILLS LEAKS. ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT. I PUT A SCREW IN THE HOSE FOR NOW. MAY EVEN SEND A BILL TO DODGE FOR CLEAN UP IN MY DRIVEWAY.

I think there was a TSB or a recall on the o6 rollover valve.

Take it to another dealer, if you can, and ask about a TSB. You shouldn't have to put a screw in it to stop it from leaking. Too bad the dealer your going to can't see a safety hazard there. There's some members here that fill until you can see the fuel at the top of the filler neck with no leaks.

Tell that dimwhit dealer you are going to call the EPA and send them a picture of it leaking in your driveway along with His name and address to see what they think about it . (it should not be leaking) Then never return to that dealer for anything not even an oil change because they have no idea what they are doing the least he could have done is looked at it or said i will check into it and call you back.

What size hills are you parking on? The dealer is right about overfilling the tank. The fuel tanks are designed to have free space just like portable gas cans.

The purpose of a roll over valve is to keep fuel from leaking if the vehicle is upset. There should be NO fuel leaking from that valve at ANY time if it's working properly no matter what position the vehicle is in. It's a safety hazard and should be checked and corrected immediately.

Smile Thank you

It has been a long time since i posted my first question. The dealer finely put a new fuel tank in it. But they try to fix it first and low and be hold it still leak it took 3 times at the dealer to fix it. It was a no charge. But they would not pay for the fuel i lost. I have now gone to a different dealer. So thanks for all the repels. I will try to do better next time i post.
Thank you all

I had the same problem and it was the non vented locking gas cap that I put on. Put on the stock cap and all is well.
