Rollover Protection Valve

I've installed a gravity feed aux. tank in the bed of my truck. It's designed to feed fuel into the fill neck and fill your main tank. I'm not supposed to have to turn off the aux. tank even after the main tank is full. After the main tank is completely full I get a fuel leak out of the 1/4" nipple on the rollover protection valve. I know I can put a hose on and it stop the leak but don't know if I should. Being what that valve is I don't think it should be leaking fuel anyway. I'm also wondering if that valve has dual purpose and vents the tank. Anyone have any knowlege on this?

My friend installed the exact same set up in his 03 Dodge and hasn't had any leaks.

Thanks
Mike

Mine did the same thing so I just keep the valve closed and fill her as needed. The old seals and stuff on top of the stock tank just can't take the head pressure. It's kind of cool driving down the highway watching your tank fill up

I'm thinking of getting a low pressure elec. fuel pump and control it inside the cab.

Thanks for the reply.
