06 rollover valve/vent hose recall

06 rollover valve/vent hose recall

i have an 06 but dont have any recalls listed on the dodge website when i type in my vin. was this recall fixed at the factory after a certain date? and if so what date? also what is the recall about?

I believe the recall is for adding the fuel lines to the w existing vents on top of the fuel tank. I don't know about any cutoff dates. I took care of it myself when I did the Fuel Tank Vent mod.

i am just curious becuase someone said there fuel tank was contaminated because of the recall, i dont want that to happen to mine.

I think what happens is dirt and grime build up around the valves and because they're recessed a little into the tank the dirt & grime could get into the valves and ultimately into the tank.

On mine all they did was install two 6" hoses on the vents. Hardly a fix IMO.

The other mod is the vent return relocation.Its not a recall,its a mod that you can do so as to fill your tank faster and with more fuel.About 4-5 gals more.You can find this at innertruck.com

The rollover mod is the recall,in the link it explains it. I'm not sure as to what trucks were recalled. But the dealer does a lousey job of fixing it so do it right, yourself.
