dead IP?
dead IP?
Would running a VP44 dry(run out of fuel)kill it?I ran out of fuel the other day and can't seem to get fuel from it,I cracked a couple fuel lines on the exit side of the IP and fuel only seems to be seeping out, these put out quite high pressure don't they? So how do I know if the pump is toast without being able to start the thing?
HMMMM well mine didnt die when it ran outta fuel, however if the pump itself was weak, it would kill it.
However when i ran my truck outta fuel, I couldnt get it started for nothin. Couldnt get any fuel outta the injector lines. Turns out it wasnt the VP 44 it was the LP. Then warranty covered it at dodge, they installed the intank setup
First step would be to see if you have any fuel pressure. If you have plenty and are feeding the VP. Then I would say the VP layed down for a long nap. Good luck!!
