Coolant Leak!

Ok. I just finished a 1,200 mile trip from Fl to Pa and all went fine. Now a couple of days later I noticed a small puddle of coolant under the passenger side of my truck. (Not a 53 block) So I investigated and can't seem to find a source of the leak. It seems to be coming from around the engine mount area. I know there are several coolant lines there for the heater and such but all seem dry. Freeze plugs seem dry and there seems to be a mist of coolant on everything below the turbo concentrated by that motor mount. am I missing something on the passenger side that would be leaking coolant? Also what are the chances that a non 53 block could develop a crack? The mountains that I have been driving are a little tough on the engine and the heat has been extreme! Oh the water temps are at 190 except when pulling a long mountain road then they creep up to about 230 but quickly come back down when I start down the hill. Any suggestions would be great as I am new to the area and don't really know where I would bring it, beside the dealer and they want a little too much right now for my wallet! Thanks.

You might take a hard look at your water pump, sometimes when they start leaking it can be very difficult to chase down and the coolant will wick to some very weird spots, another possibility is the gaskets around your oil cooler, that is right in that area and can be hard to spot as well.Best bet would be to pressure test it and follow the trail.

If it is an automatic, check the transmission cooler on the turbo side of the engine. I had a friends truck have a leah from there, and it was barely noticeable.

Try looking where you see the coolant and just opposite of it as it may be spraying out under load and really not leaking where the coolant residue is.

Well, here is the update. looked for two days and could not find the source of the leak. Took the truck to the dodge dealer in town, who spent 5 hours looking and said the entire bottom of the motor was covered in coolant. They needed to degrease and wash down the bottom of the motor so they could locate the source. they did, then pressure tested and road tested the truck and guess what? they could not find it! still wet with coolant but no one can seem to find from where. Oh the best part,... No charge! At least they were stand up enough to tell me they could not find it and not charge me for some mystery part. Or labor for that matter. Well I guess I'll drive it until it blows.
