Priming/bleeding airdog 100
Priming/bleeding airdog 100
So i spent almost 2 days fighting the airdog 100 in, i had an intake lift pump and I ran a tube to replace the tube going down to the pump, then took the whole pump out. There seem to be no issues with wiring, there should be no air, I have checked multiple times. I just cant get the pump to start pumping. It runs, but there is no suction or pressure. Please help i have a 4 hour drive tomorrow and a trailer to pull. I replaced my VP44 the other day pretty easy thought this would be a breeze?? Any advice is much appreciated.

Yeah, filled one, filled both, emptied one, put more fuel in the main tank. I have checked the fuel lines, the engine one is running to the engine, and the tank one is running to the adapted filler hose. I have got under there with a mirror and checked for anything being lose, its really blowing my mind. Is there anything that should be done with that pressure spring?

do you have a draw straw installed, and did you remove the in tank pump. The line from the tank should not come from the adapter on a filler pipe, but from a pickup tube within the tank.
Also, try taking a hose from the inlet of the airdog, and running it into a jerrycan filled with fuel, if it picks up from the can, the problem is between the pump and the tank somewhere. if it doesn't pick up, then either your relief valve is set too low, or your pump is wired backward.

the tank return side is labeled "tank". Thats what i meant. i modified the housing unit by removing the pump and installing 3/8 fuel tube. its a pretty solid set up, kinda used common sense. i even sucked the tank-to-pump hose and got a nice sip o' diesel. Its just not sucking or pushing???
hmmm...what is this relief valve? The only possible way its backward is if the pump is f'ed. i changed that thing around sooo many times mounting it, i got a handle on orientation.
Without seeing the set-up you have and how it's run, it's hard to grasp. Take a step back from the frustration and triple check. If you've done that as many times as I would have done, then i hate to say it, but call airdog tomorrow morning and explain to them what you have. It will probably be something simple. I had a few problems with mine when I first installed it and even had two bad pumps in a row. first one was really noisy and the second one siezed after a few weeks. They were really good about taking care of it and even overnighted one to me. I had to take the cover off the side and see if it was bound up. stripped one of the bolts while i was on the phone with them, and before i was off the phone, they had a new one enroute overnighted.
