code 1693
it means that there's another code in there. check it agian be sure that you give it time to read the pcm and the ecm wait till the miles come back, BUT some codes have to be pulled with a scanner. What's the truck doing?
just whent out to check again shows p1693 wated for miles to come back on nothing.so i started the truck no check light now? it did this 5 days ago.right after install of commander and xzt.need to update sig
My truck did that a few years back when the lift pump was dead but I didnt have a guage so I had no idea. I found out when I went to change the fuel filter and was unable to prime the system.
You should get it fixed ASAP.

I hate to tell you but my guess is the Inj pump is cooked as well.
Mine only showed the 1693 until i plugged the reader into it and got a 1688 which is pump electronics failure.
Put a new Inj pump and lift pump while I was covered in fuel and all seems to be good again.
I will keep the old lift pump as a spare since it has been so good(has 120 000 miles on it and still had 11 lbs cruising at 75 mph).

1693, using a Snappy scanner, anyway, means there is a fault code in the companion module. That means the JTEC, also known as the engine computer. You have to use the generic OBD software in the scanner to access the JTEC with Snappy, I don't know how you would do it with other scanners/ methods.
