changing front hub
changing front hub
Changing my front hub bearing. Removed the 4 bolts and spindlenut but the bearing separated leaving the flange and race there. I trying to figure out how to get it out. Use a 8 " 3 jaw puller. Did not want to come off. Any threads that are helpful?
If you reinstall those 4 bolts(part way) and then use the power steering to press them out like this

I might have though I'm sure many have figured it out on their own.
Most important thing even though it may not make sense is to keep the big nut tight.
Otherwise what happened to you will happen, the bearing will split.

I did this over the weekend. That method worked great! I used my neighbors 20ton press to push the lugs in. The one thing that was a bit concerning is how do you keep water out of the bearing from the back? Is the bearing sealed good enough?
