If that picture was of your truck...then I think It looks more like the bolt came loose...I don't see much rust, and the shackle is in one piece, sorry if I was looking at that picture crooked...am I wrong?
Ummm, taking a second look at it...that frickin bolt through the spring eye is loose too...Is someone out to kill you?

hahaha, i got that off of a web page showing a lowering kit installation. mine is rotted and the bolts are frozen to the steel sleeve in the bushings. They are going to be a PITA to get out and hopefully the bushing stays in.

As usual, I'm a day late, and $1 short-

I have a pair of factory shackles off of my 1998 2500. Installed a set of the "Velvet Rides", and let them stay on the truck when I traded it. The factory ones have been setting in my shed since. If anyone needs the pair, I'll let them go for sayyy..... $40 + shipping. I looked at them about a month ago, when I was installing the "Velvet Rides" on my 2002. (Yes the "V R" are out of production, but friend at parts house found a set for me.) Factory shackles apear to be in excellent shape, swapped when truck had about 100k.
I live in rural south west Louisiana; UPS, and Fed-Ex both roam this area.

PM if interested.

By the way, I'm told there still are some "Velvet Rides" out there, but very hard to find. Mine cost $170 for the pair, but the improved ride is worth it, IMHO.

just bought one from the dealer and the week straight of constant spar of PB blaster penetrant spray was worth it. the bolts on a 10 year old truck just spun right out!!! it was awsome. Its all fixed and took about 1 hour at tops. Very simple fix.
