Broken Glass-Towing Mirror
Broken Glass-Towing Mirror
Bumped my passenger side mirror backing out of the garage today and broke the glass. Anyone know if the mirror glass can be purchased somewhere? Looks like it is held in place with double-back tape. Seems insane to replace the entire unit.

Thanks...

Shovelhead has the right idea. Call around to the glass places and they will probably even come to you for less than the ******* gets for just the glass.
Tom

Re:Broken Glass-Towing Mirror
Allot of auto stores carry the replacement mirror glass...I use the sticky tape and silicone to put it back on then tape the glass in place until its cured
It's my pot and I'll stir it if I want to. If you're not careful, I'll stir your's as well!

Re:Broken Glass-Towing Mirror
Broke the RH mirror glass on my Infiniti I30 recently. Could not find a replacement so made a template and took it to a glass shop. They made a mirror to match. I glued it on with silicone and you have to look really hard to see that there is glass on glass. Prefer this to the original "Objects in the mirror are closer than they appear".
Re:Broken Glass-Towing Mirror
Found a place on the web for replacement mirror glass at http://www.automirrors.net. Towing mirror is $22.15 +shipping. I thought this was quite reasonable and ordered online.

-Vic
