When in dought, bring with to parts house and even when you think you know bring it. Just cut a pice off and take with. I'ld give you the size if I knew it . but I've been wrenching for twenty five +yrs. and I can'nt count the times I've had to go back or the number of reasonds I had to.I just put all the u-joints in my truck and while the guy was looking up the parts he asked a question and before I could answer the other guy behind the counter told him to go with the larger of the 2 , he sounded like he had the same truck or was very familier with, and this is at a wholesale driveline place I've been using for 13 yrs. , the're only open on weekdays, so I take my parts and get a chance to work on my own on the next saturday, and get the ft. axial joint appart and its the wrong size and I've got to drive the car back into town to napa and buy the right size but not the brand I wanted, now I'm waitting for a refund check after taking time off work to return the wrong one and its been 2 wks now and I still have'nt seen my 56.00 in the mail yet . So bring the old parts with , I used to do buisness with a machine shop that when you ordered some crank bearings , or what ever they got out the mic. and measured each one , becouse the've been responsable for mis boxed parts blowing up engines before. measure 3 times cut once.

Thanks for the help. Its 3/16ths inch hose if anyone ever needs to know. Th eold line was so rusy/shot it wasnt funny. The new line is much better; and the truck stops a lot better too.

My main brake line feed to the rear started leaking up above the fuel tank/frame area. I was on a road trip at the time, pulling a trailer with an F-250 on it. Had to crawl under there and break the line where I could access it, pinch it back, and clamp it with some vice grips so I'd stop losing fluid and be able to continue using the front brakes. Thank god for trailer brakes.

I guess I will have to drop my fuel tank down. I can't see the leak, can only see it dripping down through the frame. They don't make prebent lines I take it...I'll have to bend my own? I figure I might as well do all the brake lines there while I'm at it.

Did you take your tanks down?

Dave: Yes, i dropped my tank down, but i didnt have to unhook anything. I just got 2 floor jacks, and put them under the tank, and let it down slowly, and pulled it back out of the way enough i could work on it, and it worked great, and didnt take long. My lines werent bad up towards the cab, so i just spliced a new brake line from there back. Its not any trouble at all to bend the lines. Cut your old line off where you want to start from, and take it to the workbnch. Get the new one, and get something that has a round curve to it and just bend your own line. Its not hard at all to do. It may be harder if you go all the way with it, but mine didnt take any time to do hardly, and im sure its cheaper/easier than buying prebent lines if you can even find them. Good luck, and if you have anymore questions just ask.
