Bands???
My tranny is holding 1st to long and if I get on it hard it feels like it is slipping. Could this just be the bands? I have never touched them before and the truck has 102890k on it.
Ok I just drove home and 1st gear is hanging up. If feels like if it were a standard tranny and you are holding the clutch to long. All the other gears are good and it isn't doing it every time but more than not. I called the dealer to see what he thought and said maybe the bands or some kind of a pressure switch?? I need my truck on Sunday to haul a load of cattle so I'm in a major bind here.
Not the bands....t.p.s. or a blown clutch "o" ring, if it cant sustain preasure it will hang in the last gear.....adj. the bands will never cure anything except shift timing a little.....they get way too much attn.,,they are nohing more then a brake band that stops a drum ( sungear) from turning

Well I adjusted the front band and it took care of the problem 100%. But now I have another problem above the cross-member that hold the tranny up is a sensor going into the tranny. Problem is that I some how ripped the wires out of the sensor and need a new plug for it
The truck is running perfect with this senor like this but surely it is there for a reason.
