asap! my water fuel serpater drain wont close

asap! my water fuel serpater drain wont close

i have to go to work in like 50 mins and i just did an oil change... drain the water fuel serperator and now the **** thing won't close where that lil lever is for draining.

normally i just push it towards the engine and down and she closes... now it wont' close at all.

You can fold the drain hose and double wire it in a very tight pinch to get you by until you can pull the drain valve and get whatever is stuck in the thing out.

Might be some little piece of something lodged in there,
excercising the valve usually frees it up so it can close.

You'll need to remove the 4 screws holding drain valve onto canister, and replace all 4 o-rings. 2 in drain valve inside the round tube, and 2 on mouting flange to canister. A generic o-ring kit with different size o-rings will fix it up, lube em with fuel.

yup and thank you for the help although i just saw this now and i fixed the truck that night. i pulled her into the shop.. took it off and it was all frozen inside the drain.. and when i tryed to "exercise" the lever i broke it so i just popped in a new one. problem solved. and one of the o-rings were shot too.
